New Chapter

Well, it happened. I didn't even know it would be like this but it happened.

I finished college.

Shocked? Me too a little bit.

What a ride. I remember moving into my dorm at my first college in Michigan. I was so excited. Wide eyed and eager to meet my roommate! She showed up, looking terrified, and we developed a great friendship. A few months pass. . . I choose to take a philosophy class that meets on Tuesday nights. And I really liked it. So I never stopped taking philosophy classes!
After two years at that college, I'm burnt out and ready to go anywhere to get away. I end up in North Carolina. (I just paused for a total of 167 seconds trying to think of a sentence to explain why/how I ended up here but I've got nothin')
I wouldn't exchange my time here for anything. These past two years have been the most enjoyable of my life. Besides the occasional resentment towards professors, I was pretty satisfied finishing up college here. I met some great people, and some people that brought out a side of my personality that, frankly, shocked me! :) (for a moment I wondered if I needed anger management when a fellow group member asked me what a 'reference' was. I never told her.)
Here is a recap of some of my classes:
1. The Most Challenging Class: Ancient Philosophy. The professor was retired military and you knew it immediately. The class began with 25 students and slowly but surely slid down to a mere 6. This professor actually looked at work that I turned in and graded me on it. That was hard.
2. Most Lame Class: English 1200. HA. My professor was also a part-time bar tender and rarely came to class. I loved it.
3. Class that Embarrassed me Most: Basic Painting. That is NOT my forte.
4. Class that I wish I would have Tried Harder In: all my spanish classes. Deseo que hubiera intentado más difícilmente en mis clases españolas.
5. Class that I learned The Most In: First Amendment Law. This one was a hard one. But, don't you even challenge me on a first amendment law account because I will come back with a perfect defense.

Overall, I have taken a variety of classes that have all contributed some bit of knowledge. But more than that, the experiences have made me who I am today (both good and bad).

This is such a sentimental blog. So unlike me.
